1532 - Entombed They 1997

"To Ride, Shoot Straight And Speak The Truth" proved a creative band like Entombed could not stay stuck between the boundaries of the death-metal genre. They steered towards an easier, more linear songwriting that could finally make this unique death'n'roll style not only fun to listen to but also fun to play. Entombed's pioneering death 'n' roll era began with "the Hollowman" ep and "Wolverine Blues". In "DCLXVI: To Ride Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth", their fourth full-length, they continued down the 'roll road. The band's dedication remained intact as can be witnessed during the album's best songs, like the mid-tempo "They", on which they come off as a bluesy Southern rock band from hell.

1370 - Entombed Bitter Loss 1990

Entombed’s first album, "Left Hand Path", is still regarded as milestone in the Swedish death metal scene. Already from their early incarnation, Nihilist, those guys showed a non common sense of brutality and groove. Lots of other bands took inspiration from this album during the years and listening to it you can understand why this is so original. “Bitter Loss” successfully combines Thrash riffage with Death crunch for a killer ride.

182 - Entombed Left Hand Path 1990

Over the years, Sweden's Entombed has evolved into one of the most original and uncompromising metal outfits, incorporating elements of hardcore and garage rock into its brutal wall of sound. "Left Hand Path" features some startling tempo shifts and daunting lacerated throat howls. Almost all European extreme bands (especially ones from Sweden) have added some element of this album to their own works.
Brutality is what Entombed do best and is what this album will always be remembered for. The tormented growls spewing phrases of agression, pounding rhythm and buzzsaw riffs all come together for one heavy, adrenaline pumping expierence.
