1271 - Fear Factory Piss Christ 1995

"Demanufacture" is the second studio album (not including the EP "Fear Is the Mindkiller") by the Los Angeles industrial metal band Fear Factory. This is the band's first album with their classic line-up adding new bassist Christian Olde Wolbers. Many regard it as the band's best album and a heavy metal classic. Though the album was written largely before Christian Olde Wolbers had joined, and though Dino Cazares played bass on several tracks, Olde Wolbers later stated in an interview in 2004 that he made a small contribution to the writing of the title track and "Pisschrist". The band's then-unreleased first album, "Concrete", also had a track named "Piss Christ", but the two bear no similarities other than the title.

340 - Fear Factory Replica 1995

Fear Factory is a Los Angeles, California based metal band. They formed in 1990 and have pioneered a hybrid of, the styles of death metal, industrial metal, groove metal and alternative metal. Fear Factory had disbanded in March 2002 following some internal disputes, but they reformed later that year minus founding member Dino Cazares and with the addition of live bassist, Byron Stroud. Fear Factory released their second album "Demanufacture" in 1995, featuring a slight thawing down in the overly brutal approach of the early recordings in favor of a more groove metal approach, characterized by a mix of rapid fire thrash metal/groove metal guitar riffs and tight, pulse driven drum beats, roaring (rather than growled, but still aggressive) vocals that made way for melodic singing and powerful bass lines. "Replica" has a great breakdown, with stop-start bursts of guitars and drums.

201 - Fear Factory Resurrection 1998

Their album "Obsolete" saw the introduction of more progressive metal and alternative metal elements. It´s a concept album, the story is about the future of mankind and how machines have taken over humanity. This was inspired by the band's belief that humanity has become too reliant on technology. "Resurrection" is unabashedly melodic and catchy and features some nice and unobtrusive string parts on the chorus that really make the song soar and seem hopeful as the hero talks about finding the courage to go on, it deals with the feeling that God has abandoned the singer. The music of the song is an odd twist for Fear Factory as it includes a real string section in addition to Bell's tremendous singing talent.
