"Gimme All Your Lovin'" is a song by ZZ Top from their 1983 album Eliminator. It was released as the album's first single in 1983. Frank Beard’s simple rock drum beat sets the pace for the riff-driven “Gimme All Your Lovin'” (which in turn sets the pace for the album). Accented by a few guitar overdubs and pad synths, this opener contains one of the more famous leads by Gibbons and reached the Top 40 on the U.S. charts.

1413 - ZZ Top Cheap Sunglasses 1980

"Cheap Sunglasses" is a 1980 single by ZZ Top from their 1979 album "Degüello". It is one of their most famous songs and includes the use of some odd instruments[clarification needed]. The song captures many of the sounds and beats that ZZ Top is famous for. In a Guitar World article, lead guitarist Billy Gibbons said that he used a Marshall Major amplifier and a Maestro ring modulator on this song, and that the amplifier had a blown tube during recording which added to the tonal character of the song.[1] The Marshall Major is a slightly taller, 200 watt version of the classic Marshall 100 watt head.

"La Grange" is a song by the American rock group ZZ Top from their album "Tres Hombres", released in 1973. One of their most successful songs, it received extensive radio play. The song refers to a bordello on the outskirts of La Grange, Texas (later called the "Chicken Ranch"). Billy Gibbons played the lead on a 1955 Stratocaster with a stop tailpiece through a Marshall Super Lead 100 with Celestion greenback speakers. The song was produced by Bill Ham, and mixed by Terry Manning.

"Rio Grande Mud" is the second album by American blues-rock band ZZ Top, released in 1972. Z Z Top is a blues-rooted powerhouse trio featuring guitarist Billy Gibbons, bass player Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard on drums. All are abnormally talented and resourceful performers. In "Just Got Paid", Gibbons slurs through two short verses in an anomalous Johnny Winter-ish voice to quickly reach the bridge where he cuts loose with a torrid slide guitar solo.

1983 was the year ZZ Top went from being everyone's favourite bar-room boogie band to international superstars. Graced with mind-boggling and incredibly photogenic beards, a very neat trilogy of sexy videos and a collective ear for a quite distinct and highly stylised, if somewhat grizzled blues/pop, the sudden enormity of their success seems in retrospect like no real surprise. "Sharp Dressed Man" is a big hit of the band.
