1623 - Free I'm a mover 1969

Free are cited as one of the definitive bands of the British blues boom of the late 1960s even though Tons of Sob cannot strictly be called blues rock. The title of the album does not relate directly to the content of the album; it is both a colloquialism of "lots of money", reflecting the swaggering attitude with which the album was made. Kossoff's fluid guitar work, intense vibrato laden lead work dominates while Kirke and Fraser provide a solid musical backing. Rodgers voice is gritty, with his distinctive phrasing punctuating the riff laden tracks."I'm A Mover" is one of the most well known songs from the record.

1162 - Free Wishing Well 1973

Heartbreaker is the seventh and final album by English rock group Free, that provided them with one of their most successful singles, "Wishing Well". It was recorded in late 1972 after bassist Andy Fraser had left the band and while guitarist Paul Kossoff was ailing from an addiction to Mandrax (contemporary photographs show him looking gaunt and emaciated), and features a different line up to previous albums: Tetsu Yamauchi was brought in to replace Fraser, while John "Rabbit" Bundrick became the band's keyboard player to compensate for the increasingly unreliable Kossoff.

440 - Free All Right Now 1970

Free were an English rock band, formed in London in 1968 and best known for their popular song "All Right Now". Lead singer Paul Rodgers went on to become lead singer of the rock band Bad Company along with Simon Kirke on drums. Lead guitarist Paul Kossoff, a much revered blues-rock guitarist, died from a drug-induced heart failure at the age of 25 in 1976. The release of "Fire and Water" featured the massive hit "All Right Now". This song helped secure them a place at the huge Isle of Wight Festival 1970 where they played to 600,000 people.
