Anthrax's "Spreading the Disease" is a legendary record. There are really two elements above all that grab your attention right away on this album: one is Belladonna's vocals. He is at his best on here, clean, soaring, melodic and with an ironical attitude to boot. The other is the riffs. Scott Ian grabs you by the neck from the get-go, with the opener "A.I.R" having possibly the catchiest Anthrax riff. Everything is just wonderful, the fun vocals, the powerful drumming, the dominant bass, the cool guitar leads and the marvelous riffing.
