195 - Triumph Fight the Good Fight 1981

Canada would be the home to many great legendary bands that has passed through Rock n' Roll history in the late 60's and 70's. Canadian bands such as The Guess Who and Rush would forever hold a place in Rock n' Roll history as part of Rock's elite and premier bands. Another great legendary band hailed from Toronto in 1975. When vocalist/guitarist Rik Emmett met up and joined forces with bassist/keyboardist Mike Levine and vocalist/drummer Gil Moore, the new band line-up was complete and the stage was now set with the birth of Triumph. Their album " Allied Forces" included the radio staple "Fight the Good Fight", a great song with a spiritual overtone. It was lyrically inspired by Emmett's aunt who was losing her battle with cancer but kept a brave face until the end. Fight the Good Fight is a song telling you to keep your spirits and faith up no matter how bad things get.
