208 - Malevolent Creation With Murderous Precision 2002

Solid, rhythmic death metal in the modern-tinged style this band originally hailing from Buffalo, New York. Moving to Florida in 1988, they became a part of the emergent local death metal scene, landing a deal with Roadrunner Records. New vocalist Kyle Symons proved a reasonable replacement for Brett Hoffman, having a slight hardcore-tinge to his monotone death shout which conveys the high adrenaline levels this band needed to be at its best. Justin Di Pinta became a competent if somewhat unspectacular addition, laying down a fierce battery of percussive accompaniment which underpinned the by now customary Fasciana / Barrett composition. The guitar riffs are definetely crazy in this release, some of the best sounding guitarists yet for Malevolent Creation. The bass lines are solid and aggressive, and as always, the drumming is excellent. "The Will to Kill" was released in 2002, and "With murderous precision" is one of its highlights.
