Joan Jett is an American rock guitarist, singer, producer and actress. Joan Jett was one of the founding members of The Runaways along with Kari Krome and Sandy West. Kari Krome (replaced by Micki Steele and later Jackie Fox), Lita Ford, and Cherie Currie completed the line-up. In the spring of 1979, Jett decided to pursue a solo career. "Up Your Alley" returned Jett to the pop Top Ten with the catchy, crunching rocker "I Hate Myself for Loving You".
