"Used to Love Her" is a hilarious country-rock song about killing and burying your girlfriend in the backyard. The song itself is heavily indebted to the Rolling Stones, as the chords, lead guitar and vocal melody all borrow from "Dead Flowers", a favourite of the band to cover live. Like many Guns N' Roses tracks, both the music and lyrics are written by rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin. This song was not a hit song on the charts, but today receives substantial radio play.
