The days of Angelripper, Blackfire and Witchhunter are long gone, but the new era of Sodom is in good hands. The lineup of Angelripper, Bernemann and Schottkowski is the longest running lineup Sodom has ever had.
Bernemann’s guitar work is incredibly unique, as while he still is imbedded in the common use of grinding palm mutes (as with most thrash guitarists), he seems to vary them up, creating a more intriguing sound. Just once listen to that guitar intro to “Blood on Your Lips” should be proof enough.
