807 - Voivod The Getaway 2006

The album "Katorz" is, as the name reveals, Voivod´s fourteenth release and according to drummer Michel Langevin, it has been created under the most confusing circumstances and through a very complicated process, as the band had to face the physical loss of the guitarist Denis "Piggy" D´Amour. The album features tracks recorded by him and also is their second release with bassist Jason Newsted (formerly of Metallica). The riffs of the opener "The Getaway" are worth listening to.
