Although not as successful as its predecessor, "We're an American Band", "Shinin´ On" peaked at #5 in the US and was certified gold. It opens with the dynamic title track. Augmented by Craig Frost's keyboard work and pumped-up behind Don Brewers aggressive vocals, the six-minute "Shinin' On" was also issued as a single.
