992 - Abattoir Screams From the Grave 1985

Abattoir is a speed/thrash metal band from California, USA. Abattoir means something like "butchered" in French. Early incarnations of the band had John Cyriis (vocals) and Juan Garcia (guitar), both of which went on to form Agent Steel. This incarnation of the band recorded the song "Screams From the Grace" on "Metal Massacre IV". Even if it's not mentioned on the credits for reasons that Juan Garcia has explained on some other occasion, he played on that recording along with Robert Wayne on drums, also not credited on that album. Joined by vocalist Steve Gaines, the band released the classic album "Vicious Attack" on Combat Records in 1985. Musically it is raw thrash metal, roughly recorded and delivered with an almost punk like attack.
