"Schism" was the first single off of the album "Lateralus". Its begins with an instantly loveable bassline - its not so much a hook as a harpoon; it will get stuck in your head. The lyrics continue the so far recurrent theme of a grudge/enmity, this time concentrating on the actual rift, the distance between the two (ie the schism).
