Rammstein recorded "Reise, Reise" at the El Cortijo studio in Málaga, southern Spain between November 2003 and December 2003, it was later mixed at Toytown studio in Stockholm, Sweden in April and May 2004.
A great song to kick off an incredible album. Shortly after its smoothe start we get a dose of Drop D chords, then come the very appropriate lyrics. The song is basically about a seaman at sea in encountering trouble.
