Brandon Boyd’s unique lyrics, which he sings near perfectly, and the fantastic bass skills of Dirk Lance fit perfectly.. "Make Yourself" may be Incubus’ finest work, the perfect blend of metal guitar riffs, classic punk-rock mentality, and subtle hip-hop and electronic elements. On tracks like "Pardon Me," where underlying hip-hop beats and scratching never permeate the band's instrumentation.
