Necrophagist is a German technical death metal band, founded and fronted by Muhammed Suiçmez; a German-born, Turkish guitarist and vocalist. The band is known for its rapid and technical compositions.
The guitar riffing is highly technical, much closer to the thrash style, with classical palm muting, irregular chords and harmonics. In "Only Ash Remains". we have first a bass solo, then a guitar solo, and then guitar and bass finish playing solo in harmony, the ending guitar solo on "Only Ash Remains" is derived from a piece from Sergei Prokofiev's "Dance of the knights".
