Gotthard, a Swiss hard rock band that sings in English, are one of the most successful musical acts ever to arise from Switzerland. They have been playing their Hard Rock credentials since away back in 1992. The death of singer Steve Lee on a lonely stretch of Nevada highway in 2010 shook fans across Europe. On November 11, 2011, Gotthard announced a new singer, Nic Maeder, through their official website. Striking out in the veins of the 80’s AOR metal, Gotthard really strive to inject a bit of class into the Melodic Rock genre. "Dream On", included in their 2005 release "Lipservice", is filled with brilliant hooklines and melodies.
