1284 - Steeler Hot On Your Heels 1983
What makes the album "Steeler" important is the presence of Swedish guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen, which marks his official introduction to U.S. audiences. Malmsteen's playing, which would later gain greater notoriety in the context of Alcatrazz and his own band Rising Force, was shockingly virtuous. Future country musician Ron ("Lee") Keel as the frontman and unheralded Mark Edwards on drums and Rik Fox on bass accompany Yngwie. A definite highlight is the song "Hot On Your Heels", which is mostly notable for an extended Malmsteen solo.
