A swooning ballad, of which there were many after the soft-voiced Steve Perry replaced Rolie in 1978. "Escape" was the fourth studio album Perry made with the band and contained no less than three Billboard Top Ten singles. "Who's Crying Now" is no less one of the band's greatest ballads. The sauntering musical backdrop provides perfectly silky accompaniment to Perry's vocal swoon that can only be described as AOR lushness at its finest.
