"Bastille Day" is the opening track from Rush's third album "Caress of Steel". The music was written by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, and the lyrics were written by Neil Peart. It is about the storming of the Bastille in the French Revolution, which is now celebrated as Bastille Day, the French national holiday. Some good riffs present themselves with Geddy Lee's supportive bass playing along with Neils precise drumming. Alex Lifeson’s regal guitar melody on the chorus is also unforgettable.
