1524 - Motörhead Sacrifice 1995
After 27 years in the metal business, Motörhead was still going on strong. 2 years after the release of 1993 "Bastards", Motorhead, always eager to please, teamed up yet again with producer Howard Benson and hammered out a bunch of motor-songs called "Sacrifice".
You can't tell from the songs, but guitarist Wurzel was on his way out of the band. He did not take part in much of the writing process. He used to let everyone else do the work while he just sat there with his guitar across his knees. Needless to say, after the release of "Sacrifice" Wurzel officially left the band.
The title cut is like being hit by a freigth train. Mikkey Dee's awesome drumming just nails you to the wall, it's aggressive and brilliant.
