Killswitch Engage is a Metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts, popular among fans of the genre. Their music incorporates elements of twin guitar harmonies, pinch harmonics, drop C power chords, screamed and clean vocals, and clean guitar breaks. More recently, they have also incorporated guitar solos into their work. "Killswitch Engage" is the debut album by the American metalcore band of the same name. This was Killswitch Engage's only album with the independent record label Ferret Records. "Vide Infra" is a great track. The verse vocals are rougher and deeper and sound great. Good fast guitar playing from Joel Stroetzl and good pre chorus breakdown by drummer Adam Dutkiewicz. Good mini solo by Joel before chorus. The chorus is almost screamed/chanted by Adam, Joel, and vocalist Jesse. Spoken vocals follow with blastbeats from Adam and a quick interlude by Joel.
