1460 - Agnostic Front The Eliminator 1986
Along with DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, and Cryptic Slaughter, Agnostic Front were at the forefront of "crossover", a style of hyperspeed Hardcore/Thrash that rose to prominence in the mid-80s. Taking the raw intensity of Punk and forging it with Metal musicianship, these bands left a huge mark on the burgeoning Thrash scene and made some seriously aggressive records. The addition of a second guitarist – Alex Kinon – led to a more metallic sound, although the songs were still of hardcore-standard length. One other line-up change was the replacement of Dave Jones by Louie Beatto on drums.
"The Eliminator" opens with a pure Thrash riff, and asides from the mid paced bridge, never lets up.
