1600 - Archgoat Day of Clouds 2011

One of Finland's oldest black metal groups, Archgoat, were back and crushed the hell out of everything. Primitive riffs fly along with blast beats, at break neck speeds. The EP "Heavenly Vulva(Christ's Last Rites)" sees Archgoat taking a step back in their songwriting to their early days, and is a work sure to please older fans of the band. "Day of Clouds," slowly smokes out unhurried notes in a punching rhythmic crunch that bites again and again. The vocals, too, are guttural and indecipherable chomps which stay unchanged.
