1304 - Barón Rojo Dame la Oportunidad 1982

Barón Rojo are a Spanish heavy metal band, who reached international success in the 1980s. The band is led by siblings Carlos and Armando de Castro, previously from the band Coz, and it is considered one of the most important representatives of Spanish hard rock bands. They moved to London for the recording of their second album "Volumen Brutal" (1982) on the Kingsway studios, owned by Deep Purple's frontman Ian Gillan. This album was released in two versions: One with the lyrics in Spanish and another sung in English. Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden is credited for helping them with the translation. This led the band to international success specially in England, where they graced the cover of music magazine Kerrang!. The album included amazing tracks like "Dame la oportunidad".

1208 - Barón Rojo Campo de Concentración 1984

In February 1984, at the Madrid Sports Hall, in front of a large audience, the live album "Al Rojo Vivo" is recorded, including all traditional songs and adding new compositions, as the impressive "Campo de Concentración", composed by the bassist/vocalist José Luis Campuzano "Sherpa".

290 - Barón Rojo Concierto para ellos 1981

The two brothers, Armando and Carlos de Castro, on guitars and voices, José Luis Campuzano (Sherpa) playing bass and voices, and Hermes Calabria on drums, formed the most legendary band in Spain, Barón Rojo. "Volumen brutal" was recorded in London and includes tracks such as "Concierto para ellos", whose lyrics pay homage to the rock and roll legends who died early.

165 - Barón Rojo Barón Rojo 1981

Barón Rojo are a Spanish heavy metal band who reached their peak in the 80's, though they are still active today. It has been led by the De Castro brothers since they left the band Coz in 1981. Their debut LP "Larga Vida al Rock and Roll" was mixed and produced by rock DJ Vicente Mariscal Romero for Chapa Records. This album made a few eardrums burst with songs like "Con Botas Sucias", "El Pobre", "Los Desertores del Rock" or "Barón Rojo", very hard songs -both thematically and musically speaking- which began to build up the legend. Both Sherpa and Carlos de Castro took charge of the record's lead vocals. Barón Rojo keeps on bombing and flying, and they still play powerful tracks such as this one.
