1391 - Incantation Desecration (of the Heavenly Graceful) 1998

With releases like 1992's "Onward To Golgotha" and 1998's "Diabolical Conquest", there is no denying that Incantation are one of the heaviest, darkest, and most crushing death metal bands to grace the death metal scene. "Diabolical Conquest", unlike "Onward to Golgotha", features a less swampy guitar sound. The tempos are also faster in general. The most distinguishing feature of Incantation's music, except for the tremolo riffs, is their ability to put those riffs in order seamlessly, which is a quality that most older bands lacked. Tempo changes are all over the place, and yet the tunes are catchy. Stunningly unique and haunting songs such as "Desecration (of the Heavenly Graceful)" prove this.

1235 - Incantation Dying Divinity 2004

Since the early 90s, Incantation has been a force to reckon with in death metal. Even until now, the band has never stopped putting out quality releases that are consistent as they are enjoyable. The release "Decimate Christendom" marks band leader John McEntee's vocal debut, as well as their best album of this decade.

 Quick and powerful drums, twisted death metal riffs, crushingly gloomy doom sections, "Dying Divinity"  is really easy to get into, as it has a really good arrangement and proves to be catchy and evil all at once. One will notice here that Kyle Severn's drums were  recorded in a refined way.
