1609 - Uriah Heep July Morning 1971

"July Morning" is the third track on the album Look at Yourself. The song was written by the band's keyboardist Ken Hensley and lead singer, David Byron. Approximately the last four minutes of the piece consist of a virtuosic organ solo. The odd sounding calliope riffs are played by Manfred Mann who, according to the album's liner notes, "appears for the first time with his Moog synthesizer". Dave Thompson described the song as the best produced by Uriah Heep, with a "magnificent arrangement and performance".

720 - Uriah Heep Too Scared to Run 1982

By the dawn of the 1980s, Uriah Heep was considered to be a relic in the heavy metal world and no one was surprised when they disbanded shortly after 1980's half-hearted "Conquest" album. However, everyone listening received an unexpected surprise when the band returned with a new lineup and a sleek, revamped sound on 1982's "Abominog". The tone is set by opening track "Too Scared to Run," a dynamic rocker that contrasts its furious guitar-laden verses with a harmony-drenched chorus worthy of Queen.

Uriah Heep are an English rock band, formed in December 1969 when record producer Gerry Bron invited keyboardist Ken Hensley (previously a member of The Gods and Toe Fat) to join Spice, a band signed to his own Bronze Records label.
Sometimes jokingly referred to as "The Beach Boys of heavy metal" for their melodic songs, and trademark multi-part harmony backing vocals, although their music draws on diverse influences including: progressive rock, hard rock, heavy metal, jazz and even country on occasion.
"Look at Yourself" is the third album released by the British band. The title track was released as single, a blasting, guitar and keyboard heavy rock song with a great chorus build up.

Uriah Heep are an English rock band, formed in December 1969 when record producer Gerry Bron invited keyboardist Ken Hensley (previously a member of The Gods and Toe Fat) to join Spice, a band signed to his own Bronze Records label. "Easy Livin'" entered the US Top 40 at #39, making it Heep's first American hit. "Easy Livin'" was also a mega hit in New Zealand and Germany, countries which were becoming a strong market for the band.
