1512 - Pantera Slaughtered 1994

After the legendary "Vulgar Display of Power", Pantera did a great job of following up "Far Beyond Driver". The songs are a bit slower and much heavier, with the trademark Pantera sound. Dimebag's playing on it is relentless throughout, well planned, and well executed, with shit loads of devastating riffs. 'Slaughtered' includes a great main guitar riff, as well as the drums that follow it. A machine gun intro, low, gruff singing, and chugging guitars.

1236 - Pantera Cemetery Gates 1990

"Cemetery Gates" is the fifth track from "Cowboys from Hell", the band's fifth album and second with lead singer Phil Anselmo (though the band considers it their first "true" album, officially ignoring their earlier independent releases as it was their first album with the groove metal genre). "Cemetery Gates" showcases Anselmo's vocal ability and range, concluding with screaming high notes answered by Dimebag Darrell on guitar in a trade off.
The lyrics lament the death of a female relative or friend and the prospect of dying or committing suicide and rejoining her in the afterlife.

1210 - Pantera This Love 1992

"This Love" is a song by the metal band Pantera. It was first released on the band's best selling album, "Vulgar Display of Power". Pure  groove-thrash metal at it's best. Dime's slow solos here really rule, and the riff on the fast part is amazing.

622 - Pantera Cowboys From Hell 1990

Coming out of the eighties music scene where glam metal clones were topping the charts, Pantera a seemingly unknown band from Texas shed the glam metal image and sound from their first four independent releases, and released their amazing major label debut "Cowboys From Hell". I don´t love their repetitive rifss although their contribution to the metal scene was considerable. This track has one of the most recognizable riffs in metal.

190 - Pantera Fucking Hostile 1992

"Vulgar Display of Power" is a groove metal album by heavy metal band Pantera, released on February 25, 1992. Perhaps one of the most influential metal albums of the 1990s, "Vulgar Display of Power" is said to have played a major role in defining post-thrash metal, slowing down the tempos and incorporating a harder-edged vocal style. Several songs from this release have become some of the band's best known, such as "Fucking Hostile".
