1506 - Symphony X Electric Messiah 2011

"Iconoclast" is a culmination of elements from the Symphony X's history with a harder edge than before. Everything that made the last Symphony X albums so enjoyable can be found on here somewhere; the progressive dynamics, Romeo's masterful guitar riffs, or the voice of one of our generation's greatest metal singers. Russell Allen's singing is once again one of the most enjoyable aspects of Symphony X, although at various points he does emulate Ronnie Dio's mannerisms a little too closely. “Electric Messiah” opens up with an awesome progressive piece with some fancy fingerwork before leading into the opening verse and has a classy pre-chorus that really s hows off Allen’s versatility as a vocalist.

1158 - Symphony X Accolade II 2002

The Odyssey is the sixth studio album by progressive metal band Symphony X. It was the first to be recorded entirely at guitarist Michael Romeo's home studio. The fourth track, "Accolade II", is a sequel to The Accolade from "The Divine Wings of Tragedy".
According to vocalist Russell Allen: "This is obviously another poem of a knight’s tale. This one I loosely based on a mix of the Braveheart and Robin Hood stories. Keying in on the similarities like their pursuit to honor their father’s name – that’s really the basic theme of this Accolade. I played the part of a knight for so many years. I hold this and the original Accolade very close to me. Again, the music is stellar and I love it when the band does tracks like these because their playing makes my job so easy. It’s not hard to find the right emotional tone for a track when the band paints the scenery behind you".

483 - Symphony X The Divine Wings of Tragedy 1997

Symphony X play progressive metal with symphonic tendencies. The band members excell in their chosen instruments and the vocalist Russell Allen has a powerful voice which perfectly compliments the instrumental pyrotechnics. "The Divine Wings of Tragedy” is an epic with 20 minutes duration and seven parts. It starts off with a choir followed with riffs that create a kind like war situation. The music turns fast and it comes back to quieter mood with guitar fills reminiscent of neo progressive vein. The voice line enters during this passage. The composition is made in a way that blend the fast and moderate tempo, high and low voice, quiet and noisy segment. The interlude demonstrates excellent keyboard and guitar solos. 'The Divine Wings of Tragedy' is an excellent song which is very representative of their power/operatic sound.

284 - Symphony X Eve Of Seduction 2007

Symphony X is an American progressive metal band from New Jersey founded in 1994 by guitarist Michael Romeo.
"Paradise Lost" is their seventh studio album, a concept album about the above said poem, with a ton of heavy and loud riffs and of course with all the ingredients of the musical recipe of the band (great melodies, symphonic arrangements, super technical keyboards and guitars). 'Eye Of Seduction' has an original melodic line, natural composition, all beautifully interwoven with technical brilliance. It begins with a sweet Romeo riff with Pinnella adding a great harmony on top of it. It then leads into sinister chords backed up once again by Rullo's double bass.
