877 - Coroner Nosferatu 1987

Coroner tried to figure out a way to translate their shared virtuosity as players into comparable levels of songwriting inventiveness. Flashes of their potential were revealed in instrumentals such as this "Nosferatu".

552 - Coroner Semtex Revolution 1991

Coroner was a thrash metal band from Switzerland which was disbanded somewhere in the mid 90's, and "Mental Vortex" is considered to be one of their most successful albums. It contains alot of great shredds, heavy drumming, and awesome lead-guitar work. “Semtex Revolution” is a monster of a technical thrash number. Starting off in a rather convincing mid-paced mode and then displaying the riffs, most of them being amazing and the soling owns too.

258 - Coroner Die By My Hand 1989

“No More Color” turned out to be the last conventional Thrash Metal album by Coroner. Not as fast as the two previous offerings, yet still very much on the technical side of things, with most of the songs relying on very heavy and twisted, complex structures. Some of the songs here are slowed down to a mid paced tempo, and that's exactly what Coroner needed all along to get going. Songs like "Die By My Hand", and "Read My Scars" have a lot of room to breathe, a great rhythm section, and very complimenting solos to go with it.

92 - Coroner Masked Jackal 1988

In the shadow of the big German Thrash bands born in the mid 80s, the Swiss CORONER always managed to hail from the underground with an extraordinary, direct, technical and straight-to-vein Thrash of the finest class, mixing a corrosive atmosphere with a violent attitude with which they took a place among the elite.
Their second album was “Punishment For Decadence” and respecting the identity created with their praised debut “R.I.P.”, the band offers us a sophisticated, ultra-fast and yet melodic Thrash Metal jewel. Bassist Ron Royce snarls "Worshipped by the masses" on "Masked Jackal", a great thrash cut.
