Helstar is awesome old school Heavy Metal from Houston, Texas. It's fast, melodic, and technical stuff in this "Bitter End", with some insane harmonies included in their third album "Distant Thunder". Great track.

Helstar is 80s heavy metal at it's finest. Wailing vocals, crunchy, weird riff patterns, and great melodic lead guitar lines, with that inevitable attitude that makes the genre so appealing in the first place. James Rivera's voice is full of this iron-strong conviction, the way any good metal vocalist should be. "Shadows Of Iga" keeps a divine hook line and a brave and spirited galloping riff.

Helstar is a heavy metal band from Houston, Texas, formed in 1982. Influenced by bands such as iron Maiden, Helstar was one of the classic American power metal bands of the eighties. Though superstardom eluded them, their five albums garnered critical praise and they were a fan favorite throughout their career, in addition to being an influence on many a nineties band. The powerful "Run with the pack" is included in their first album "Burning Star".
