1302 - Blind Guardian Mirror Mirror 1998
"Mirror Mirror" is a single by the German power metal band Blind Guardian, the song was composed for the 1998 album "Nightfall in Middle-Earth". Lyrics of "Mirror Mirror", based on J. R. R. Tolkien's "The Silmarillion", recount how Turgon, in view of inevitable defeat, builds the city of Gondolin, aided by Ulmo ("The Lord of Water").
The track first arrives at a folkish gait before the thunder breaks and the band charges out of the gate, weaving back towards the opening melody as it creates an escalating storm of melody of flutes and axes both acoustic and electric.

468 - Blind Guardian The Bard's Song 1992
"Somewhere Far Beyond" is the fourth studio-album by German Power/Speed-Metal act Blind Guardian. It was published in 1992 and produced by Kalle Trapp. The album saw the band creating its own original sound, while still employing some of their speed/power metal techniques. The strong songwriting of the album (including fan favorite "The Bard's Song") made the album a power metal staple. At concerts, it is not unusual for Hansi Kürsch to only sing the first and third lines of this song, then possibly the final verse or chorus, and leave the audience to sing the rest.
