1390 - Lizzy Borden Outcast 1987

Although having already released two by Metal Blade' standards successful albums, Lizzy Borden were still hoping for a chance to make it really big. The songs on "Visual Lies" take a more commercial turn, but the band stays true to it's roots. "Outcast" starts with a great riff, and slows for an emotional, acoustic verse. This verse alone has better vocals and an amazing chorus.

"Appointment With Death" comes after "Deal With The Devil" that saw the light of the day 7 years ago. Musically, Lizzy Borden band is a unit of top notch players, proficient musicians, and skilled song writers. Joey Scott's playing remains frenetic in this "Abnormal".

694 - Lizzy Borden Ultra Violence 1986

Think '80s theatrical metal, and bands such as W.A.S.P. and Mötley Crüe immediately come to mind. But right up there alongside these names was Lizzy Borden, a gentleman who modeled his character and stage show after the great Alice Cooper. However, out of all the aforementioned bands, Borden was probably the most metallic (as evidenced by such releases as 1986´"Menace to Society", with this powerful "Ultra Violence", dealing with Stanley Kubrick film "A Clockwork Orange".

82 - Lizzy Borden Notorious 1986

The guitars for Lizzy Borden are really great. A lot of great harmonizing parts. The riffs and solo's are filled with power and speed. They're fast, crued, and well developed. Its sort of like Riot and Judas Priest thrown in together. The drumming is well developed as well, a lot of nice 80's traditional sounding fills. Everything flows pretty good on this album, more compact than the other Borden albums. The best track in "Menace to Society" is "Notorious." It has a crazy fast bass beat.
