1562 - Manowar Warriors of the World United 2002

In 2002, Manowar signed with a new label (Nuclear Blast) with a pretty stable line-up: * Eric Adams – vocals * Karl Logan – guitars, keyboards * Joey DeMaio – bass, keyboards * Scott Columbus – drums * Joe Rozler - grand piano & pipe organ Lyrically, on "The Warriors of the World" Manowar continue their traditional heroically non-conformist saga. While compositionally, from the epic, large-scaled forms that, for instance, were distinctive features of "Triumph of Steel", they turned back to a shorter song format of a rather motley stylistics, which is typical for most albums by this cult band. Wonderful, soft, and clearly symphonic interplay between solos of harp and string ensemble are featured on "Warriors of the World United".

804 - Manowar The Gods Made Heavy Metal 1996

Manowar proved once again in "Louder than Hell" that straight-ahead guitar crunch, powerhouse drumming, and histrionic vocal yowls can be a really attractive blend. It's an amazing track with the bass being the main instrument in the front, together with Adams vocal melodies.

753 - Manowar Hail and Kill 1988

This is probably the best song on the album "Kings of Metal". It's fast, catchy and shows superb composition. The accoustic part is also cool, before true heavy metal blasts you in your face. Containing a mighty chorus, mindblowing solo by Ross the "Boss" and ripping bridge.

536 - Manowar Fighting The World 1987

Joey DeMaio was working as a bassist / pyrotechnic for Black Sabbath when he met with Manowar's original guitarist, Ross the Boss, who was playing for a group called Shakin Street; a Black Sabbath support band. They later recruited Eric Adams for vocals and Donny Hamzik for the drums, to create a band with a unique epic sound, heavily influenced by classical composer Richard Wagner. Manowar recorded Battle Hymns, their debut album, which featured Dark Avenger, a slow epic track with narration by Orson Welles. In 1987 the band released "Fighting The World." Manowar satisfied the teeming hordes by playing wilder, louder and heavier, inviting fans to join them onstage to sing or even play guitar, with hymns like this one.

444 - Manowar Blood of the Kings 1988

Manowar made their mark on metal history when they released their debut "Battle Hymns". Soon after the release of their fourth album, "Sign of the Hammer", they got crowned by the Guinness World Records "Loudest band in the world"; probably because they play live at 129.5 decibels through about 10 tons of amplifiers. "Kings of Metal" was released in 1988, the last track is "Blood of the Kings", it starts out with Eric Adams's thunderous high notes, Eric sings a list of a number of countries that Manowar fans hail from. The guitar solo that Ross the Boss performs in the middle of the song makes it better.

292 - Manowar Defender 1987

Energetic, great riffs, the incarnation of a vocal-god in Eric Adams and of course a whole bunch of the best Metal-songs that ever have seen the light, "Fighting The World" is a classic metal album. "Defender" features the speech of Orson Welles, the album was released 2 years after Welles died. The video below has nothig to do with the Kings of Metal but I didn´t find anything better, the track sounds ok, so just listen to it.

76 - Manowar Battle Hymn 1982

Battle hymns is Manowar's debut album and it established them right away as something special. It is a classic and one of the great and important Heavy Metal releases of the eighties. Today it still shines pure Metal and power. Starting out slowly with just a bass melody and some atmospheric guitar, the song builds momentum using only drums, and when the guitar and bass finally enter the sound again the result is an unmatched burst of power, so mighty that if you're not prepared, you will still be wondering what hit you long after the song has finished. The emotional middle part just goes to show that what Manowar truly is about is feeling. The feeling of being alive.

7 - Manowar Blood of my Enemies 1984

Manowar, an American heavy metal band from Auburn, New York, formed in 1980. They are known for creating lyrics with an emphasis on fantasy and mythologic topics. A band with an unusual epic sound. Manowar recorded Battle Hymns, their debut album, which featured "Dark Avenger", a slow epic track with narration by Orson Welles. (Welles returned on the Into Glory Ride album and did the narration on another slow track called "Defender." This song was later reworked for the band's Fighting the World album). With "Hail To England" Manowar delivered their third and maybe best album in 1984. here we find the hymn "Blood Of My Enemies", a mighty mid-tempo-track. The song mainly lives off Eric Adams' powerful vocals and the sing-along-chorus.
