Runic was born in Castellón (Spain). Runic considers its sound as a mixture of Death and Viking Metal. The band started to rehearse in the middle of 2001. The band's first recording was "Awaiting the Sound of the Unavoidable". In Mid 2005 the band started recording for their follow up album "Liar Flags" which was released in 2006.
