1704 - Helloween Power 1996

"Power" is a hit track by the German Helloween band, featured as the fourth track and lead single on their seventh studio album, The Time of the Oath. While The Time of the Oath is a dark concept album centered on the apocalyptic prophecies of Nostradamus, "Power" serves as an optimistic contrast. Prior to Andi Deris, Helloween was defined by Michael Kiske's pristine operatic tenor. On "Power," Andy Deris leans heavily into his unique high baritone vocal range. He delivers a performance packed with raspy aggression, attitude, and a "gritty" hard-rock edge that gave Helloween a much tougher, street-ready sound for the mid-90s metal scene.
